Day 1 – Wednesday, October 1st, 2025

Opening Session: Mr. Pierre Claver NDUWUMWAMI, Executive Director of BBIN, recalled the history of the BURUDIGI project and its alignment with Burundi’s national digital transformation strategies. He then invited participants to introduce themselves individually.

Technical Presentations

Mr. Björn (Digital Learning Hub) presented the structure of deliverable D3.1 – Comprehensive Training Module Design Document.

Mr. Alain NKURIKIYE (MSM) presented a synthesis report summarizing research findings from deliverables D2.1 (Ecosystem Mapping Report), D2.2 (Digital and Entrepreneurial Skills Gap Report), and D2.3 (Challenges Report). Participants raised questions regarding the representativeness of the sample. The speaker clarified the data collection methodology, emphasizing collaboration with local partners and the inclusivity of the approach.

Mr. Jean-Marie (HiTech Solutions) delivered a presentation on pedagogical approaches in digital education, combining approximately 20–30% theoretical learning and 50–60% practical application. His intervention generated rich discussions and numerous suggestions, leading to an agreement on the importance of close collaboration with local partners for curriculum content and trainer selection.

Mr. Björn (continued) presented the structure and prioritization of training modules. He shared a list of potential digital and entrepreneurial modules for project beneficiaries and invited participants to vote on which modules should be prioritized according to the Burundian context.

Group Work – Afternoon Session

Participants were divided into groups for a hands-on co-creation exercise focused on:

  • Identifying priority modules (through a point-based voting system);
  • Discussing challenges and specific needs;
  • Proposing around six modules (three digital, three entrepreneurial);
  • Identifying implementation barriers.

The conclusions helped refine the module structure and anticipate potential constraints for successful project implementation. The first day concluded at 4:00 p.m. with closing remarks from the BBIN representative.

3. Workshop Proceedings

Day 2 – Thursday, October 2nd, 2025

4. Closing Session

The BURUDIGI Workshop, held from October 1–2, 2025, took place in a collaborative and constructive atmosphere. All partners reaffirmed their commitment to jointly pursue project implementation in order to strengthen digital and entrepreneurial skills in Burundi.
